The British Car Club Midlands Centre is pleased to announce that the 2012 Carolina British Classics-VI event will be held March 31 at the Columbia Speedway. British cars of all marques from all over the USA are invited to share the wonderful weather and historic setting.

We have lots of room for all who want to attend. This year we will be merging our event with the popular Tartan Day South festival being held at the Columbia Speedway. The speedway is an historic “vintage” track from the early days of NASCAR racing. There will be lots of interesting and entertaining diversions throughout the day and a variety of merchandise and food vendors. A separate parking area is available for trailers.
Entry fee to the festival is complementary for drivers of cars registered in the show and half price ($5.00 estimated based on last year’s festival) for passengers of exhibited cars.

As always, this is a charity event, with a portion of proceeds going to local charities. We will also have a 50-50 raffle and silent auction. Last year we were able to make meaningful contributions to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Alzheimer’s Association, American Cancer Society and South Carolina Mental Health Association.

Featured marque: The Mini Cooper, both classic and modern, is the featured marque this year and we invite all the MINI clubs to be well represented. Of course, we hope all the clubs in GA, NC, TN, and SC will be well represented and we greatly appreciate all the individuals and clubs who participate!

Directions: To get to the Columbia Speedway from I-26, take Exit 116 - Charleston Highway/Hwy 176/321 - go North approximately 1.9 miles and then turn right into the speedway parking lot. Signs will direct you to the entrance for car show participants (which will be different than the entrance for festival goers not participating in the car show).

The 13th Annual Williamsburg British Car Club British and European Car Show at beautiful Chicahominy River Front Park in Williamsburg, VA

The Ancaster British Car Flea Market and Car Show is held on the second last Sunday in April at the Ancaster Fairgrounds, at the intersection of Hwy 2&53 (Wilson St) and Hwy 52 (Trinity Rd). This annual event is Southern Ontario’s largest British car parts flea market featuring both used and new parts for all types of British cars. You will also find books, clothing, regalia, car club information and much more.

Open from 9:30 to 3:00, Admission is $7.00 (Youth under 18 are free).

The focus of the 2012 Mitty will be a British extravaganza and a celebration of all British marques with special attention given to a Triumph vs. MG car club competition. The winning marque will receive special recognition in Classic Motorsports and the club with the most cars in their car corral will receive a special award.

The Capital Triumph Register will host the 15th annual Britain on the Green British car show at the Collingwood Library and Museum on Sunday, April 29, 2012. Collingwood is located along the Potomac River between Alexandria and Mount Vernon, Virginia. The show is open to all British marques and features participants’ choice judging, food and merchandise vendors, a silent auction, and children’s activities. Additionally, the Collingwood Library and Museum and its tree shaded grounds are open to participants and spectators.

If you appreciate the classic designs of British automobiles you won’t want to miss the largest gathering of these fine cars in the southeast. Approximately five hundred examples of these machines and about 5,000 spectators will converge at Berry College in Rome, Georgia for what has become one of the best automotive events of the year. Every major example of British car is usually well represented from the elegant Rolls-Royce to the rugged Land Rover. See hundreds of examples of all of the great marques that defined sports cars for several generations; the MG, Austin Healey, Lotus, Triumph, Morgan, Jaguar, Sunbeam, Jensen, Aston Martin, TVR and those flying shoeboxes, the Mini-Cooper.

Held in conjunction with the Greenville Highland games, this will be one of the best British Car shows held in the Carolinas. The show is held on the well shaded lawn of Furman University.

The Lake Erie British Car Club will be hosting their 14th annual car show "The British Return to Fort Meigs" at the Fort Meigs Historical Site, Route 65, Perrysburg, Ohio. The show runs from 10 am to 3 pm. After viewing and voting on your favorite British vehicles, you will have opportunities to tour the restored fort from the War of 1812, shop at one of the vendors or sample some tasty food. The Peachtree MG Registry will host the NAMGBR Annual Convention at the Dillard House Inn and Resort in the mountains of North Georgia. 2012 Canadian Historic Grand Prix at Mosport June 15-17

The Vintage Automobile Racing Association of Canada (VARAC) will hold its 34th Annual Vintage Racing Festival , renamed for 2012 as the "Canadian Historic Grand Prix" at the world-renowned Mosport International Raceway, June 15 to 17, 2012. This technically demanding, very fast 2.459 mile track and former home to the Formula One Grand Prix, Can-Am, Trans-Am and Formula 5000 is just one hour northeast of Toronto.

Corvette will be the featured marque for 2012. Corvette racing cars from across Canada and the United States will descend on the Toronto area track for the second major historic Corvette focus event following the very successful Corvette World Tribute held at Road America in Wisconsin this past August.

In addition to Corvette racing, VARAC will make High Performance Driving and Touring sessions on the Grand Prix track available to Corvette owners and there will also be lots of activities both on and off the track for Corvette Clubs and other enthusiasts including a Saturday rally/tour of the area.

To make the weekend even better for Corvette enthusiasts, Canadian racing driver and Corvette legend, Ron Fellows has tentatively agreed to act as Grand Marshall for this prestigious event.

There will be racing for six groups of cars including Monoposto (single seat open-wheel vintage & historic race cars), Small Bore Vintage & Historic Cars (under 1800cc), Big Bore Vintage & Historic Cars (over 1800cc), Wings & Slicks (very fast purpose-built racing cars running on slick tires), G70+ Cars (cars dating from 1973 to 1989 including Porsches, Mustangs, etc.) and of course Corvettes.

The weekend will also play host to the only Canadian round of the Small Bore Challenge Cup, an enduro series for small bore vintage & historic racing cars.

VARAC extends a special invitation to all drivers, crew, marshalls, volunteers and media involved with racing in past years to join in the Mosport Racer's Reunion on Sunday. This will be a great opportunity to re-connect with old friends and celebrate the history of Canadian racing. Former Canadian National Champion, Gary Magwood will host the "Legends of Mosport" driver's reunion and many of Canada's racing greats will be in attendance.

The VARAC Festival is about more than racing. This year VARAC has added a new event on Friday evening – the “Checkered Flag Charity Cruise”, which is open to all criusers with proceeds going to the VARAC charity. The cruise will be held on the Start/Finish Straight of the famed racing circuit and will give participants and spectators alike a glimpse of the excitement surrounding this race weekend. The public is encouraged to come out for the cruise as well and join the party.

Other features of the weekend include Canada's largest Mini gathering, Mini Meet North as well as the very popular "Field of Dreams" car show that welcomes sports cars and hot-rods and car clubs from far and wide with Sunday noon parade laps on-track. Entry to the car show and parade laps is free! That's a lot of action and a super value!

Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the VARAC Canadian Historic Grand Prix where you are encouraged to take it all in. Walk through the paddock and get up close to the cars and drivers who will be happy to greet you. Youngsters will enjoy meeting the drivers and being photographed with the race cars. Enjoy free camping. Explore the booths of vendors of all types. Within the park you'll also find good food and beverage and modern comfort facilities.

UK Car Day is an all British Car and Motorbike Festival. There will be Concours and Popular Choice Judging, Special Awards, Door Prizes, Live Music by Paulsen, Baker & Garvey, Food and Beverages and Professional Car Photography. It is hosted by the Greater Rochester Triumph Touring Club and the Webster Lions Club. A percentage of the proceeds will be going to charities in the communities of our various members. Free Spectator admission and parking at Genesee Valley Park at Riverbend. Time 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Located in Duke Island Park, Bridgewater, NJ - All British cars and motorcycles are welcome. There is a popular show, voted by the participants with 25 catagories and Best of Show. Dash plaques are included with registration and there are door prizes. The setting is fantastic. Registration is $15. Vendors are also welcome.

The event provides a chance for car and motorcycle enthusiasts to gather in a convenient location and admire the unique characteristics
of the many distinctive automobiles that have originated in Britain. This is a nicely informal gathering of fellow minded souls, and the organizers encourage all owners of British cars to participate; any car of any age, and now motorbikes!

11th Annual Brits in the Ozarks. This year we have lined up Gerry Coker as our special guest. Most of you have probably not heard of Gerry unless you know about Austin Healeys. Gerry is a British gentleman who worked for Donald Healey and designed the 100, the 3000 and the Sprite.
