Hi Folks:
Well the worst happened and my 1979 1500's engine let go on the Interstate in a spectacular way throwing a rod and cracking the block. While it's not a rush, I will need a new block (plus other parts) or an engine to get my Spitfire back on the road. I am in Pennsylvania; the car is in storage in Virginia. Anyone between those two states have a good engine available for a fair price?
Thanks.

And I MIGHT have one. 42K miles on it! Runs and idles quite nicely. Good O/P, even compresion. I'm in Pittsburgh, PA. Try me at fly6174@comcast.net. The motors from a 77 but I don't know if we are going to part the car out yet or not (rust victim!). If we do I don't know if I'd want to seperate the tranny from it either... need a spare gearbox?
