Well had some major problems getting the plugs to spark. Ended up putting a new coil, points and condenser. But she fired right up. After I felt great about that I connected the gas tank line and put about 4 gallons of gas in the tank, called it a night. Woke up the next day only to find out there was a hairline crack in the tank and only had about a gallon left. Ahhhhh! now my garage has a distinctive odor of gas (I got a head ache!). Just ordered a new tank from VB but at least it's running...

Well motor is in just finishing up with hooking everything up. Gotta get new hoses and rubber lines!

Well been too busy to work on the Spit but, got the day off and the motor back last week. Put most of the motor together over the week end and today my buddy Pastor Paul is coming over to give me a hand with putting in in the car... Wooohoo!

Rear brakes are shot so is the master cylinder. Ordered new kit from VB. The wait begins. Still waiting to hear from the machine shop about the two motors I dropped off. OY Vey "The waiting is the hardest part!".
