A little bit about me...
I have been restoring cars since I turned 40- My wife says its a midlife crisis thing. So far I have built and sold the following: 69 Chevelle SS396, 73 MGB, 69 Chevelle Malibu, and now I'm working on a 72 MGB (spot a trend?) I am a mechanical engineer, so I can't leave anything stock- I prefer to alter and adapt and upgrade.

On The Ground Again 2   I was curious if the mods made to the inner fenders would be too big and interfere with the front wheels, reducing the ability to turn. So I installed the wheels and set the car on...
Inner Fender Mods 3   The left inner fender mods are completed. I welded in the curved patches that wrap around the intercooler pipe. Still needs to be ground smooth, but I need to reinstall the front s...
Intercooler Pipe- Left Side (aluminum) 3   The left side is more congested than the right side, so the inner fender needs a bit moremodification. I have the pipes fit and the fender cut, but still need to weld in most of th...
Intercooler Pipe- Left Side 3   With the right side done- I need to focus on the left side. This will be a bit more complicated, since the MAF and turbo intake pipe are in this area as well. I will first build an...
Intercooler Pipe- Right Side (aluminum) 4   After measuring the ABS mockup- I ordered a polished aluminum pipe 45 deg bend and cut the legs to size. Fits pretty nice with the silcone connectors I picked up as well.
Intercooler Pipe-right Side 3   The intercooler was build and fitted last year, with the intent I would work out the pipe routing "later". I guess it's now later. I am starting with the "cold pipe", the intercool...
Turbo Manifold 6   I decided on a log type manifold- not fancy, and not really meant for high HP numbers at high rpms, but definitely OK for what I am doing. If this becomes an issue later, I can hav...
New Motor Mounts 4   The motor mounts were purchased from Michael Spreadbury, who installs SR20 motors in Datsun Roadsters. He has some very impressive installations, and fabricates and sells some of t...
Engine Repositioning 6   I measured the position and angle of the engine. and found that it was offset by about 1/2" and the angle was incorrect (should be 5 degrees toward the left side). I was also conce...
Electrical Conduit 4   I added a conduit to the front wheel well on both sides to run the wiring as well as the hood latch release through. This should keep the engine compartment free of extraneous wiri...
