Had a couple of setbacks for the 100 Hour MGB GT. First of all The Shop were I work part time was broken into last weekend. That ment a lot of extra work for me reinforcening possible entry points etc. It also ment my friend's (and boss) Mig Welder is gone. Ouch. Offered to go in on a new one but He said he will certainly get a new one and said he will borrow a good one from a mutual friend if need be. I finally got around to dismantleing the brake Master only to find all good internal ...

The 100 Hour MGB GT restoration Continues: Bad news on the MG front. The shop where I work part time got broken into and sevetral things were stolen. This ment a lot of extra work for me to get re-secured and or uprated. Big new locks for garage doors, improved bars and reinforced rear door, fix broken window at the back etc. Worst thing was they stole my Bosses nice Mig Welder that I am going to need to do the sills and floor repairs. Offered to go in on the replacement buty he said not...

This weeks work: Previous Total 18.5 Remove front tie rods. Pretty easy to get off tie rods but the Jam Nuts had to be cut off 1.0 Clean Front Susp. and prep for paint 1.5 hours Use Die to clean threads on inner tie rod. .5 hours Rebuild Brake Calipers. I finally started on the bodywork proper because I needed to fully remove the front fenders to check to make sure everything I need o order and or find used if possible. Actually not that bad. I mean its awful but its no worse than I thought it would be. Very typical stuff and I just need the front upper extention repair pieces.
