My first car at age 16 was a 1965 Triumph TR4A - purchased , I believe , in 1971. I loved that car and had just soooo very much fun in it , drivin` in the mountains of Western NC where I grew up . Great memories , a wonder I survived. I sold that car whole in college `cause I needed the $$$ and had no money to fix it up properly. Kicked myself for years every time I thought about it.
Got married to a wonderfull woman at age 34 and on our 2nd Christmas together she totally suprised me with a 1967 TR4A in my garage Christmas AM . Drove around in my boxer shorts for a while that mornin`! That is the car I have now and for much of it`s life it`s still been in the garage in much need of repair. ( 3 sons to raise ) This past Dec. `07 I did manage to get it painted and hope within the next 6 months to have the engine rebuilt - with a little extra punch to it .
Must go back to work now.
