Work in progres so don't expect much. I'm thinking I ought to keep a record of my trials, tribulations, victories and defats somewhere OTHER than on MY computer. I kept a journal on the GT6 Triumph restoration I just completed and my computer exploded just about the time I finished the car. Not saying that the two events are connected in any way... but they are! Ah yes, those mystical forces we mere mortals cannot understand eh?

This entry will be short. I have purchased TWO MGBs on Ebay auction. A 64 that has very little of the side members left, no engine or transmission or interior. And a 77 MGB that has no sills left to speak of, a center x member that is missing both jack points, rotten rear wheel arches (inner and outer) and rotten front arch supports. BUT! It DOES have a motor (in pieces), a transmission and seats... and the boot is in VERY good shape.

Sigh, mabe I can make something out of the two?

Well, the 64 AND the 77 I picked up on Ebay (floorboards appear to be original and solid?)we both beyond repair and were stripped then crushed when the neighbors complained about the junk in my side yard (I have NO backyard). Then I found a 1975 MGB Tourer that listed on Ebay and was local. This one claimed that the, "Floorboards appear to be original and solid" too but in this case they actually were (almost). The car had extensive body work done in the mid 80s which included new front fenders, outer sills and rear half fenders but with the exception of a REALLY sloppy patch on the drivers floorboard... you know, the one that shows up by the toes on you left foot... the work was well done. Maybe because after all that expense the car cracked the head in 1989 and sat in a garage until I bought it! So that's my car now, Junior I call him. and he's JUST about ready for the road!
