AC From Dash Vents
Created on 2008-06-05 08:40:48
1.Last evening I noticed there was about 1/2 inch space at top of between fan shroud and the top radiator tank. Spread some RTV on tank and on the shroud then took the foam seal that was between the tank and the shroud and stuffed it in between to fill the gap. Ran it up and down freeway this am 85 deg f at about 3000 to 3500 rpm and temp gauge ran just above the normal. So that improved efficiency of the fan shroud. Will check for more gaps around sides then the bottom.

2. Have AC air coming out of center dash vents now temp measures in hose attached to connector on evaporator 2nd from the right measures 46 deg at 3500 rpm and 70 mph outside air is 85 deg temp on freeway probably about 90 and humidity is about 70
